Lenten Replenish 2023

A season for cultivating for cultivating spaciousness for spiritual healing and growth

Cultivate Sabbath with us Sundays at 10 am for worship

Feb, 19, Transfiguration Sunday with Communion

Replenishing

February 22, Ash Wednesday - Reflect

This season is about repentance - turning again to God. And reflecting on our lives - we take another look at them and see how we can bend them toward God again (reflect = to bend back from the Latin)

Matthew 6:1-6, 16-21, noon in person and 7 pm online

February 26, Lent 1, Resist - Bilingual Service with Impacto LGBT

Jesus resisted the temptations of the devil.  What are we called to resist?  What spiritual practices might  support us this season?

Matthew 4:1-11

March 5, Lent 2 -Reclaim

Can we reclaim the language of being born again? What is it that we want to be reborn to? What do we want to experience anew, as if for the first time?

John 3:1-17

March 12 - Lent 3, Reimagine

The woman at the well reimagines her own life, infused with living water and it looks very different. She reimagines her understanding of the Messiah and  with his presence she understands faith in a new way. What happens (to us, to the world)  when we reimagine some aspects of our beliefs?

John 4:5-42

March 19, Lent 4, Reveal

Guest Preacher Linda Moody

Jesus says God’s works are revealed in the man whose sight is restored. The man and others reveal (make known) their  story of healing several times. What does it mean for God’s works to be revealed in a person’s life? What is being revealed in us? What are we revealing about God  in & through our lives?

John 9:1-41

March 26, Lent 5, Restore

Lazaurs’ life is restored. What does his restoration teach us? What restores us and how does that restoration change us?

John 11:1-45

April 2, Palm and Passion Sunday,

Those on the road revered Jesus with palms and hosannas.  How might we hold celebration and desolation together as people of faith?  What might being revealed to us?

Matthew 21:1-11

April 6, Maundy Thursday, Remember

Re + member calls us to remember who we are in God w/ lord’s supper - “Do this in remembrance of me.”

Luke 22:14-20

April 7, Good Friday, Relinquish (to surrender)

Jesus surrendered his life. Can we surrender to his call on our lives?

John 18:1-19:42

Indoor/ Outdoor Service at noon in person; online self-guided reflective portion

April 2, Easter Sunday, Resurrect

Matthew says specifically that the women felt “fear and great joy.” How do we rejoice in the midst of fear? How does resurrection in the world lead us to rejoice?

Matthew 28:1-10
