Playground Church

Where kids can play, make friends, and experience God's love.

Where parents & caregivers can find community, explore faith, and experience joy!

We would love to know if you are coming! RSVP here by emailing Pastor Alice and let us know about you and your kids and you!

When? On Pause. Let us know if you are interested in starting up this ministry or something for kids!

Where? Clarendon Presbyterian Church Playground; park in the lot at 1308 North Irving Street and then head to the lot next door; also very close to the Clarendon Metro; If it is raining/ snowing or well under 40 degrees, we will meet inside in the fellowship hall of the church.

Who?  Children age zero to elementary with their parents and caregivers; you don't have to attend Clarendon Presbyterian's Sunday morning service to attend this fun playground church!

What can I expect?

We hope to engage with some storytelling, share in a craft, play together on the playground, and share in a snack in a closing circle at the end.  Clarendon Presbyterian church members will be present to supervise kiddos so parents & caregivers may have some time to get to know one another. There will a short sheet of questions, to "break the ice."  Parents & caregivers can choose to use it or not!

Who is leading this? What will they be sharing with our kids?  Playground worship will be led by Pastor Alice (also a mom of young kids) and members of Clarendon Presbyterian.  Each month, we will have a different theme with the most important message that YOU ARE LOVED!  We are part of the PCUSA denomination, a part of More Light Presbtyerians, and overall a progressive church.  We welcome those with faith and with doubt!
